We have a busy lifestyle and require our property maintenance to be minimal.
The existing Bali thatch on the Pool pavilion and BBQ shelter when we moved into our new property was anything but. As well as looking very unattractive, the Bali thatch (4yrs old?) was causing allergies and constant debris and dust as it literally disintegrated whenever the wind blew, or birds landed on it.
We obtained quotes to replace the thatch with both new thatch and western red cedar from several large companies from Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and Gold Coast. None compared in any way with Cedar Roofing, Sunshine Coast.
Cedar Roofing responded to our request for a quote within 24 hours, physically measuring up the job and returning the quote within 48 hours. Their quote was transparent and their product, Premium Grade Shakes can handle the Australian climate and are installed by a highly experienced roofer.
As you can see from the gallery photos, there is absolutely no comparison between the look or the functionality of a Bali Thatch roof with a Cedar Shake roof. With regards to price comparison, Cedar Roofing are able to provide competitive pricing for a roof that is top quality and will last with a minimum of maintenance for 25 years plus, and still hold it’s look and style.

"After the January cyclone of 2013 our Resort Clubhouse Cedar Shingle roof was looking pretty second hand.
We started the battle with the insurance company to get the roof replaced and decided to give Cedar Roofing a call to quote. Bobby Chilton arrived fairly smartly and quoted within a week. The insuance assessor took forever to come out and then wanted another quote from a Gold Coast company. After several phone calls to the Gold Coast the contractor then asked me to measure the building and send through the dimensions as he wasn't driving to the Sunshine Coast to do a quote.
The Gold Coast quote came in several thousand dollars under Bobby Chilton's so the insurance company said that we could use the Gold Coast company to do the job. I decided to hop on the Web and do some research on the Gold Coast company and their sample photos of the shingle roof work wasn't fit to put on a dog house let alone a 5 Star Resort.
After several arguments with the insurance company we decided to pay the difference ourselves and go with Cedar Roofing and we are so pleased we did.
Bobby Chilton is a professional and carried out the roof replacement as an artisan. We had minimal disruption to both the resort guests and the operation of the resort and considering the poor weather conditions Cedar Roofing completed the job on times as promised.
We are more than pleased with the overall result and the roof looks 100% better than the original builder's effort. The attention to detail was evident throughout the job.

"We commissioned Bobby Chilton of Cedar Roofing to replace the old shingle roof on our 30 year old beach house in 2016. On his recommendation premium grade shakes were used. The job was complicated, with several roof lines and constricted access. The scope of works included the replacement of all guttering, some downpipes, flashing etc. Bobby and his team put in long hours, day after day, in hot tropical sunshine, working methodically, neatly and professionally. The job was messy, with many skips filled with discarded shingle material. But every afternoon the site was cleaned-up meticulously. New products were stored carefully on site ready for use. At the end of the project a very thorough site clean-up was carried out. The end result is a spectacular new roof (much better than the old one ever was!). The shakes are arranged neatly and look great.
Kathryne Chilton (Bobby's wife) handled all administrative details promptly including production of the 25-year warranty.
